PrEParing for Marriage
PrEParing for Marriage (PFM) is a pre-marital course for couples who are seriously dating or engaged, or those married for less than one year. In addition to the 13 weekly classes, a trained mentor couple is paired with each couple to work closely with them throughout the course. The most beneficial time to participate in this course is from six months to a year prior to the wedding. Of all the plans that a couple makes together, the most important are those for their life after the wedding.
This next class will start on February 4 starting at 11:00am.
This 13 week Sunday morning class covers:
- The Biblical Basis for Marriage
- Communication Skills
- Gender Differences
- Understanding Sexuality
- Intimacy in Marriage
- Realistic Expectations
- Spiritual Vitality
Mentor Relationships: Each couple is paired with a trained mentor couple and will meet with them at least four times throughout the course
Prepare: Each couple will complete a computer-scored inventory that gives a "picture" of their relationship
Pastoral Counsel: The pastor will meet with the engaged couple following the PFM course.
