It is time for our annual Kites in the Field! We want to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ by building and flying kites. We will remember his resurrection (he came up from the grave like kites to up to the sky–its a stretch, but work with us!) by coming together for kites, games, scavenger hunts, and crafts. If the weather is good, plan to pack a picnic and hang out on the field or the playground fellowshipping and building community.
Why don’t we do our Easter event before Easter? Because if we are trying to observe the traditional church calendar, it seems a bit silly to have our Easter event before Jesus has risen. So we have our kite event after Easter. And now you know! 🙂
The plan is to be on the field, but if the weather is rainy or the field is squishy we will be in the fishbowl area.
When: April 26 from 10:00 – 11:30
Who: Kids of all ages and their parents. This is a perfect thing to bring a friend along!
What to bring: A friend, your sense of humor and desire to make and fly kites! A picnic lunch if you want to hang out afterwards.
